Founded in 2021 by Rachel Soudakoff (USA) and Rachel Berry (New Zealand), Deaf Adventures is a fully Deaf-owned and operated adventure travel company headquartered in Los Angeles, USA. What began as a mission to create accessible tours for Deaf New Zealanders has grown into a global community offering Deaf travelers fully accessible, Deaf-led experiences in more than 15 countries, delivered in ASL, NZSL, International Sign, and other sign languages. Each adventure thoughtfully balances cultural immersion and outdoor exploration, connecting travelers with local Deaf guides and communities for authentic, meaningful experiences. By working closely with Deaf guides, trusted partners, schools, and universities, Deaf Adventures actively supports Deaf ecosystems worldwide—ensuring adventure is truly barrier-free.
